Fallout 76 Heavy Gunner Build No Power Armor

Fusion Core duration is now doubled. This is my first build for Fallout 76 and what Im aiming to achieve for my character.

I wouldnt recommend Grounded for a heavy gun build.

In Power Armor heavy guns gain excellent accuracy and ignore 45 armor. This perk alone makes it worth rocking Power Armor over regular BUT because I know a lot of folks prefer no PA over wearing PA I have both armor types available to look over.

So would running a heavy gunner while equipped with unyielding possibly even a vampire. Can you have a heavy gunner build without the use of power armor that does well in the end game. I really recommend armor over PA is you run a similar setup.

If you want a different approach I highly recommend looking at Lady Death build which is the exact opposite permanent stealth permanent VATS no power armor and works with riflesfull-auto riflesbows by simply swapping the relevant damage and penetration perks. The plasma caster and plasma gatling are also both good.

I tested everything with and without Power-Armor stabilized and 99 of the time it is better with an unyielding armor set. Not quite explosive 50 cal good but still great. Unfortunately this means that you will not really be playing a Power Armor Build until you reach about level 30 even if that is your goal from the beginning of the game.

For anything different running PA stabilized is probably the way to go. 308 ammo is a female dog to make especially compared to the 5 mm or 50 caliber. This build also provides a quite comfortable playstyle for solo players instead of making you look for a team as soon as you enter a new game.

Better off increasing one of you heavy gunner perks. I think that plasma cores are easier to make than 308. Dodgy is no good for heavy gunner non power armor.
